What is the age limit for UPSC CSE 2026?
Candidates must be between 21 and 32 years of age as on August 1st, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules (e.g., 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST).
Is there a negative marking in the Preliminary Exam?
Yes, there is negative marking for incorrect answers in both papers of the Preliminary Examination. For each incorrect answer, one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
Can I choose any language for the Main Examination?
Yes, candidates can choose any language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India for the written examination, provided it is opted for in the application form and the candidate is proficient in it.
