What are the services covered under UPSC CSE?
The CSE covers recruitment for 24 All India Services and Central Services Group 'A' and Group 'B', including IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, IRTS, IDAS, etc.
Is there any age relaxation for reserved categories?
Yes, age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules for candidates belonging to SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) (10 years), and Ex-Servicemen.
Can final year students apply for UPSC CSE?
Yes, candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of their degree can apply, provided they produce proof of passing the examination along with their Detailed Application Form (DAF) for the Main Examination.
What is the exam pattern for UPSC CSE Prelims?
The Preliminary Examination consists of two objective-type papers (General Studies Paper-I and General Studies Paper-II or CSAT). Both papers are for 200 marks each, with CSAT being a qualifying paper (minimum 33% marks).
